Chicago Sun-Times Roger Ebert
This is the best DiCillo movie I've seen, and he's made some good ones ("Box of Moonlight," "The Real Blonde"). more
The Hollywood Reporter Sura Wood
Smart, funny and ultimately over-the-top spoof is more often than not, spot on. more
Salon.com Andrew O'Hehir
Among DiCillo's best, and returns to the central theme of his career: the elusive and destructive nature of fame. more
The New York Times Stephen Holden
Tom DiCillo's angry comedy Delirious subjects modern celebrity culture to a microscopic examination that shows the toxic virus of fame squirming and multiplying under its lens. more
Variety Jonathan Holland
An all-or-nothing perf from old DiCillo hand Steve Buscemi and a script that leaves no ironical stone unturned make this laugh-out-loud fare. more
The New Yorker David Denby
The movie is exhilarating in a way that only hard-won knowledge of the world can be. more
Rolling Stone Peter Travers
Buscemi makes this pathetic and potentially lethal shutterbug a figure of surprising humor and compassion. more
Chicago Tribune Tasha Robinson
Engaging, intelligent and enjoyable. more
New York Daily News Jack Mathews
In the end, I don't know that Delirious has all that much to say about the fame game, but you'll laugh nonetheless. more
New York Post Lou Lumenick
Despite some plot holes, Delirious, hits the bull's-eye with razor-sharp performances and dialogue. more

Really enjoyed this movie, it did get a little long towards the end which is why I only rated it four stars, but it was mostly a moving, funny at times film, great acting and you really did care about the characters. It also had a bit of a twist to the end, definitely worth watching. more

This movie has such a big heart and is so genuinely touching that I was more than willing to look past its little flaws. Filled with irony and wit, it's a smart rags-to-riches story about friendship and the many facets of people's positions in life. Steve Buscemi is excellent, and Michael Pitt is brilliant in a role that seems like it could have been written specifically for him. One of my favorite films of 2007. more

This is not really a review. Just wanted to point out a few things. If you read in the film description above it says "Toby gets an acting job on a reality TB show." They haven't started making these shows about tuberculosis yet. They're still just making reality TV shows. Plus, they don't mention there are a lot of extras included on this dvd. Here they are: --Director's commentary. --18 minute behind-the-scenes featurette with DiCillo and Buscemi. --full-length version of the music video for the song Alison Lohman performs in the film. --3 video podcasts made to promote the film on the... more

I've always been a big Steve Buscemi fan, and he can hold a movie together just about as well as anyone, and this is no different. Buscemi does a great job portraying on the role of a paparazzi photographer who is waiting for his opportunity to get the 'shot heard 'round the world'. In his journey, he finds himself a friend in a homeless Toby, who dreams of becoming an actor. The interplay between the two characters drives this movie. The acting is pretty well done, but Buscemi, with his usual strong performance makes the movie good. I recommend a rental. more

DELIRIOUS I have always been a huge fan of Steve Buscemi and try to buy any and every thing he is involved in, this film included and I am glad I own it. This is a strangle little tale that was and indie hit especially at Sundance. I have no idea why it took me so long to review this but I guess later is better than never. This really is a good yet quirky movie, really it is. The film follows Les Galantine . These two come together by chance when Les is waiting to get some shots of a singer/actress played by Alison Lohman. While waiting for her Toby literally runs into him and offers his... more

This is the most hilarious movie, with John CAndy stuck inside a terrible soap opera!!HE can control events and turn himself into a hero by using his magic typewriter. It is sooooo funny, the characters are idiots, like the doctor who keeps yelling,"I..am a...medical..DOCTOR!!!',and the man whos being poisoned and his hair comes out and then he wipes his finger over his eyebrow and it comes off in his hand and then his teeth fall into the sink and then he tries to shoot his sister, who is poisoning him, only it isn't really his sister because she was swapped at birth so he accidentally shoots... more
