Haha, I was among the first people (besides the New Line Cinema DVD crew and the LotR crew) to see the trailer for Return of the King Extended Edition DVD. Wow, you really gotta love Comic-Con 2k4... 50 minutes...extra scenes...:D Several of the rumors were dispelled by the appearance at Comic-Con of David Wenham (Faramir) and Billy Boyd (Pippin) and several members of the crew working on putting out the DVD. The extended DVD of "Return of the King" is filled with many new and extended scenes that will please fans who love Tolkien's original story. The July 26, 2004 San Diego Comic Convention featured a preview of many scenes, some introduced by Peter Jackson himself. (Some of these scenes were recently featured in the sneak preview trailer at Lord of the Rings.net, although now it seems to have been removed). Some confusion among other reviewers that somehow we're obligated to post a five star recommendation for the movie. This is an incorrect understanding of the review process. If I were reviewing the movie itself it would get a five. This review is for the product, as listed--in other words, I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS PRODUCT/DVD. In a small village in the Shire a young Hobbit named Frodo has been entrusted with an ancient Ring. Now he must embark on an Epic quest to the Cracks of Doom in order to destroy it.

Frodo and Sam continue on to Mordor in their mission to destroy the One Ring. Whilst their former companions make new allies and launch an assault on Isengard.
